After a lifetime in Manhattan and Brooklyn--with culture and food choices at every step--for Geraldine Bien, it was no small decision to move to Westchester. “The schools and prospect of space brought us to this area. The amazing trails, river views, winding country roads, and like-minded friends keep us in our down-to-earth community.” Her time at Bard college as a youth earning a BFA in photography sparked her interest in the area, and her success as owner of Frolic Photos reflects her continued passion for it. An effective listener, she fully understands and serves the needs of clients. Her casual style paired with an ability to hone in on critical details making even a first-time buyer or seller feel at ease.
Geraldine culminates her current aesthetic from many sources: her own family's background in art, prominent architects and photographers, and living in rustic/modern Brooklyn. She recently had the opportunity to renovate two residential properties. Her art and design ability, along with a cultivated technique for spatial relationships, allowed her to transform and maximize those properties: with a ROI of over 20%, a spark for real estate was ignited.
Though she has fully embraced the suburban lifestyle (which she playfully calls "the country"), Geraldine's urban roots have her continually searching for Westchester's quirky and cool spots. She is a zealous photographer, museum goer, foodie, and design junkie. These interests are reflected in her most recent photography at her blog UpInTheBurbs.com. Geraldine resides in a river town in upper Westchester with her singer-songwriter husband and two wonderful kids.
